Aaron Brooks breaks tooth diving for loose ball (Video)

Aaron Brooks had some crazy stats during the Sacramento Kings’ season-opening game on Wednesday. Brooks had 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 broken tooth.

The backup guard broke one of his teeth diving for a loose ball while guarding Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich. As Brooks was going for the ball, Hinrich landed on top of him, planting his face straight into the floor at the United Center in Chicago.

It was a nice effort from Brooks, who played 23 minutes in his first NBA action in two seasons after spending last season in China. His Kings came up short though, losing to the Bulls 93-87.

I suppose the good news is at least he didn’t lose his teeth in another player’s elbow, which actually has happened in past NBA seasons.
