Dwight Howard pranked by Lakers before first game (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers had gone five games before newly-acquired center Dwight Howard finally took the floor for them in some preseason action, and they decided to celebrate the occasion by punking him.

As LBS contributor A. Liu informed us, the Lakers were set to run through the tunnel to begin warming up before their preseason game against the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center on Sunday, and they had Dwight Howard go out first. Much like the way baseball teams treat a rookie who hits his first home run by hiding in the clubhouse or giving him the silent treatment, the Lakers left Howard out on the court for around 30 seconds.

They finally ran out to the floor to join the big man, who laughed off the incident.

Howard had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks in his preseason debut. Below is a video of his highlights:
