Gregg Popovich coaching

Gregg Popovich is no friend of reporters, and he continued to make that clear on Thursday night after Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

After watching his San Antonio Spurs get beat badly by the Thunder in Oklahoma City to end their season, Pop faced the media. He was asked whether he regretted not going with a smaller lineup earlier in the game, which was a route for OKC at 113-99.

Any reporter who has ever tried to conduct a sideline interview with the coach could tell you, that reaction was hardly surprising.

As successful as Pop has been as a coach, he sure doesn’t earn any points for classiness and respect for media members. That was a legitimate question, yet he couldn’t even give the reporter the courtesy of an answer, which is simply unprofessional.
