Kobe Bryant called ‘a–hole’ in show produced by LeBron James

Kobe-Bryant-LeBron-James

LeBron James may actually have very little to do with the comedy series “Survivor’s Remorse,” but he is listed as one of the show’s producers. So I guess, in a way, LeBron is guilty of having called Kobe Bryant an “a–hole” in an upcoming episode?

Richard Johnson of Page Six learned that a line from “Survivor’s Remorse,” which is a series about a poor kid who suddenly signs a lucrative deal with an NBA team, takes a light-hearted swipe at Kobe. Here’s more:

In an episode airing in two weeks, team owner Jimmy Flaherty (played by Chris Bauer) says, “People will not pay to watch an a–hole play basketball.”

Young baller Cam Calloway (played by Jessie T. Usher) replies, “People paid to watch Kobe play for years.”

Oh no he didn’t!

Mike O’Malley, one of the writers of the show and an admitted Boston Celtics fan, said that while Kobe has broken his heart numerous times, neither he nor LeBron wrote the line.

“No, Jessie Usher ad-libbed it,” O’Malley said. “Let’s just call it a gentle ribbing … LeBron and Kobe are friends off the court, and LeBron has great respect for Kobe.”

Perhaps more importantly, Bryant openly admits he is an a–hole. Remember that awesome quote he gave last year about not being a good friend? If Kobe watches the show, he’ll probably take that a compliment.
