Kobe Bryant rips Lakers during practice: ‘We’re soft like Charmin!’ (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday with a win over the Sacramento Kings, but it sounds like they have already fallen back into their bad habits.

Kobe Bryant was reportedly furious with the way the Lakers practiced on Thursday. Mike Bresnahan of the LA Times reports that Kobe became visibly upset on more than one occasion.

“Now I see why we’ve lost so many games!” he yelled at one point. “We’re soft like Charmin!”

He wasn’t done there. Bresnahan also says Kobe lashed out at Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak, who was watching practice.

“These (expletives) aren’t doing (expletive) for me,” Kobe said of his teammates while leaving the court.

Below is the video including the bad language.

Apparently Bryant was upset with the way the second unit performed. The starters crushed them during a scrimmage, which highlights one of the many problems that are plaguing the Lakers this season — a lack of depth.

In fact, the Lakers are so lost that head coach Byron Scott said earlier this week that he has thought about starting the 36-year-old Bryant at point guard.

“I’ve thought about starting him at the point and I even talked to him about it,” Scott said Wednesday. “I said, ‘I’m thinking about it, but I’m not there yet.'”

Kobe closed out Tuesday’s win over the Kings from the point guard position, and he dished out a couple of key assists. The Lakers obviously want the ball in his hands as much as possible, but Bryant has been at his most deadly when he can come off screens and create open looks.

Unfortunately, the 2014-2015 Lakers are desperate. Unless they want to pack it in and do what Magic Johnson thinks they should do, Kobe and company might have no choice but to try new things.
