LeBron James tells Oprah that Dan Gilbert’s letter was ‘hurtful’

LeBron James and the Heat have been on a media tour since winning the NBA title last week. The Heat’s trio of stars made an appearance on “The View,” and also did an interview with Oprah Winfrey that will air on Sunday.

One of the clips from the interview was released to Fox Sports Florida to get the public interested in watching. In the clip, LeBron says the nasty letter Dan Gilbert wrote to Cavs fans after the decision was hurtful.

“It was hurtful because I know how much I put into that organization, and every night I’m out on the floor I tried to give it my all and I tried to bring a championship to that city every single night,” James said.

As bad as LeBron came off for that hour-long decision show (and it was an awful move), the only person who arguably came off looking worse in the aftermath was Gilbert. Between the letter, taking additional shots at LeBron, and name-calling a writer, we’ve learned who the real child is. LeBron isn’t some innocent victim here, but the point is Gilbert really is a bad guy.
