Mallory Edens helps Bucks get No. 2 pick at NBA Draft lottery

Amid all the excitement that comes with the NBA Draft lottery, who would have thought that an owner’s daughter could steal the show?

Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens, was on stage watching anxiously as her dad’s team learned its fate. Prior to the ping pong balls being selected, Mallory told ESPN that she was wearing a Bucks pin that she hoped would bring the team luck.

The Bucks scored the No. 2 overall pick. Milwaukee had the best chance (25%) of scoring the top overall pick, but at least they avoided a disaster. They’ll still get one of the best college players in the country.

It’s nice to see Edens, who is 18, taking an interest in the family business. When your dad owns an NBA basketball team, that’s probably your best bet coming out of high school.
