Michael Jordan’s expired credit card will be auctioned off (Pictures)

Talk about the ultimate collector’s item. Michael Jordan’s expired American Express card will be sold in an auction run by Goldin Auctions next month.

The auction will begin on Oct. 10 and the minimum bid is $1,000. The card indicates that Jordan was an American Express member since 2003, but the card expired in 2005.

We have no idea how much the card will be sold for, but I can imagine some really rich dude dropping several thousand on it. I mean think about the endless possible uses you could have for it.

Instead of just framing the card and sticking it on your wall, you could just pull it out to pay for things. Out to dinner with friends? Hand it over along with the check. Card comes back declined? Oh whoops, I gave you my expired Michael Jordan credit card by accident, how silly of me! That would be the ultimate conversation starter.

So yeah, if you have an extra $20,000 lying around, might want to get it ready for bidding.
