Manny Pacquiao reportedly agrees to pay Floyd Mayweather $5 million for failed drug test

Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao apparently has agreed to an expensive insurance policy for Floyd Mayweather in the case of a failed drug test.

Pac-Man and Mayweather are still negotiating about a potential May 2nd fight between them, and the Filipino appears willing to do what he can to make things work. We have heard that he has agreed to everything Mayweather has asked for, including a contingency that calls for a failed drug test payment.

The Mirror says Pacquiao agreed to pay $5 million to Mayweather if he fails a pre-fight drug test. He has also agreed to Olympic-style drug testing, which is a condition Mayweather demanded several years ago that supposedly blocked a potential fight between them.

The Mirror says confirmation of a fight agreement is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, which is something we have already been hearing for weeks. In fact, a report over the weekend said the sides had agreed to a fight that would pay $250 million.

All of these reports are interesting, but until Floyd announces the fight on his social media accounts, nothing is official.
