UConn head coach Kevin Ollie was ejected from a loss to Louisville on Saturday night after a controversial no-call went the Cardinals’ way. With roughly 13 minutes remaining in the game and the Huskies trailing by nine, UConn’s Niels Giffey gave a shot fake that appeared to draw a blatant foul. The whistle never blew.
Ollie, who thought a shooting foul should have been called to give his player three free throws, went ballistic. He sprinted down toward the baseline to argue and was assessed a double technical. The former NBA guard more than got his money’s worth after being tossed.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a coach stalk a court after getting ejected quite like Kevin Ollie. The last 13:02 should be muy interesante

Ollie’s reaction may have been over the top, but there’s no arguing that Giffey was fouled. Dick Vitale certainly thought it was a foul, and anyone who watches the replay can see that there was contact. Ollie was right to be furious that a call like that was missed in a game that his team was trying to climb back into.
