Baker Mayfield apologizes for actions during game against Kansas
Baker Mayfield has issued an apology for his actions during Oklahoma’s victory against Kansas.
During the Sooners’ 41-3 win, Mayfield was involved in some extracurricular activities towards the Jayhawks sideline and Kansas fans. He grabbed his crotch and directed profanity towards the opposing side of the field. Mayfield also taunted fans by telling them to go “cheer on basketball.”
After the game, Mayfield apologized for his actions.
“What I did was unacceptable,” Mayfield said, via ESPN. “I’m a competitive player, but what I did was unacceptable and disrespectful, and I truly do apologize.”
Mayfield also relayed this message via his Twitter account following the game.

This isn’t the first time Mayfield has apologized for something he did during a game this season. Back in September, he planted an Oklahoma flag at midfield at the Horseshoe after the Sooners upset Ohio State. Mayfield later said he did not mean any disrespect.
