Carlos Hyde surveillance video released
Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde will not be charged by police for an incident that occurred at a club on July 20. The woman who was involved in the incident with Hyde decided not to press charges, leading Columbus police to close the case.
Hyde, who is entering his senior season, was suspended indefinitely by Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer as the incident was investigated. The woman informed police on Saturday that she did not want to press charges.
Looking at the video of the incident, it’s hard to tell exactly what happened. It looks like Hyde and the woman were talking by the corner of the dance floor and exchanged some contact before parting ways. There didn’t seem to be enough on tape to warrant an assault charge for Hyde.
Hyde rushed for 970 yards last season and scored 17 touchdowns. He is expected to be one of the top players for the Buckeyes this season.
