Everyone said Texas football was ‘back’ after win over TCU
The Texas Longhorns football program parted ways with Mack Brown in 2013, and they’ve struggled to find any consistency since. Charlie Strong had three straight losing seasons before losing his job, and Tom Herman only went 7-6 in his debut season last year.
But what Texas has done in consecutive weeks has fans saying that the Longhorns are back!
Following a loss to Maryland in their season opener, Texas has won three straight for the first time since 2014. They beat Tulsa, then USC, and finally they defeated TCU on Saturday 31-16. The latter two wins came over ranked opponents.
All the talk afterwards was about the Longhorns being back.

Going down to field level and a Texas fan held me up and said “We’re back, you can write that down. Write that down.”
