With college football season right around the corner, we have already seen glimpses of new uniforms and helmets schools will be sporting this fall. At the University of South Florida, what’s new is what will be on the back of the jerseys.
South Florida head coach Willie Taggart recently named Mike White the starting quarterback to open the season. However, don’t expect to see “White” across the back of the sophomore’s shoulder pads. That’s because Taggart is doing away with names on the jerseys.

“The Team” will be displayed on the back of each player’s jersey for the 2014 season.

The Bulls get the new campaign underway August 30 when Western Carolina makes the trip to Raymond James Stadium, at which time we’ll get our first look at the new threads in a game that matters.
