Vanessa Bryant not only filed for divorce from Kobe Bryant, but she also is living at the family’s house in Newport Beach. Many people have wondered where Kobe is staying in the interim, and Starz Uncut tells us the Lakers star is living at the South Villas of the Pelican Hill resort in Newport Coast — close to his family’s mansion. Starz Uncut’s tipster shared the following picture of Kobe’s Lamborghini parked in front of one of the villas:

Their tipster says they spotted Kobe “in the garage doing his own laundry at the time.”

As hard as it is to believe that Kobe was washing his own clothes, all the other details check out. The picture of the Lamborghini matches the one parked in front of Staples Center recently, and it makes sense that he would be staying nearby his children and Vanessa.

The Nuggets gave the Lakers a heck of a game Saturday at Staples Center before losing 92-89. They actually should have sent the game to overtime, but Danilo Gallinari blew a lefty layup in the final seconds.

Here is a video of the “unmolested layup” Gallinari missed with his team down 91-89:

The blown play rounded out an off game for Danilo. He was 3-of-12 for only seven points, and he missed all four of his three-point attempts. Guess he forgot to take a sheet before the game.

How did Reggie Bush express gratitude to his teammates for his excellent rushing season? By buying them motorized scooters, of course.

Bush tweeted a few pictures Saturday morning of his offensive linemen trying out their new toys. It sounds like the Segways were a hit too.

“This is the coolest gift I’ve ever received!” one lineman said.

This is the latest example of Reggie showing thanks for the best season of his career. You may recall that he dedicated his 206-yard game against the Bills to former coach Tony Sparano, who was fired before the game. The gesture also represents a nice turnaround for Bush as a teammate. Eric Bickel of The Sports Junkies reminded me that Bush upset some of his teammates earlier in the season when he said the team stunk.

Bush has rushed for a career high 1,086 yards through 15 games, nearly doubling his previous single-season high. I’m not sure what practicality the Segways have, but they sure seem like pretty sweet toys.

Bears special teamer and wide receiver Devin Hester is considered to be the best return man in NFL history. He has a career-record 17 returns for touchdowns, and he is tied for the single-season lead for punt returns for a score (4) and kick returns (4). Arizona Cardinals rookie Patrick Peterson tied Hester’s record with four punts returned for a score this season, and he earned the kick returner spot for the NFC Pro Bowl team. That has Hester pretty upset.

“Heck yeah I’m disappointed,” Hester said Friday. “I’m not going to lie. I was a little upset. But he did a job this year.”

Hester has three return touchdowns and actually has a higher punt return average (17.3 yards) than Peterson (15.9), but Patrick took more to the house. Hester is listed as the first alternate but he doesn’t expect Peterson to miss the game.

Hester is the more accomplished player, but Peterson made more of a difference this year and deserved the honor.

Didier Drogba went a wee bit crazy on Stephen Warnock during Chelsea’s match with Aston Villa Saturday. After falling on top of Warnock, Drogba rode the defender like a cowboy. As you can see, the entire incident was slightly disturbing. Video below.

Alistair Overeem beat Brock Lesnar by first-round TKO in their UFC 141 fight in Las Vegas Friday night, leading to Brock’s announcement that he was retiring.

The fight went about the way I expected, and it ended exactly how Overeem predicted: with a hard leg kick to the liver. Lesnar was hesitant to shoot on Overeem and take to the fight to the ground where he’d have the advantage. The hesitation allowed Overeem to go to work with his striking and stand-up game.

Brock had no defense for Alistair’s Muay Thai knees and hard leg kicks which led to the stoppage. It was a kick straight to the liver that did all the damage, and Brock told Dana White after the fight that he thought he had a few broken ribs.

Lesnar has now lost two fights in a row since his fast rise to UFC Heavyweight Champion. He became UFC champ in just his fourth professional fight — an incredible feat. At 34 years old and recovering from intestinal surgery because of diverticulitis, Lesnar announced he was retiring from MMA. It’s likely he’ll make at least a few appearances in the WWE like he suggested in October.

Overeem will now face heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos in what should be another exciting fight.

Victor Ortiz’s Nevada boxing license is in question after the fighter admitted he intentionally tried to break Floyd Mayweather’s nose with a headbutt, Lance Pugmire of the LA Times reports.

Pugmire reported on his Twitter account that Keith Kizer, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, will not license Ortiz to fight until he explains his nose breaking comments.

Ortiz told Radio Rahim of Max Boxing, “I was trying to break [Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s] nose, 100%, because he nailed me 16 times with his elbow on my right eye, which made me close my eye. I kept telling [referee Joe] Cortez about the elbow. He kept saying ‘keep fighting Victor, keep fighting.’

“My eye gets closed, so I unleashed the headbutt. Yeah it was wrong, it was very wrong. But given the fact that I had asked the ref to keep an eye on that, and I told him ‘elbow’ … you want to get dirty, I got dirty.

“For that, I started feeling bad, and that’s why I gave Floyd a hug. They got me to feel human in the ring, and I when I felt human, I paid for it.

“If I’m going to headbutt you, I’m going to break your nose next time,” Ortiz said.

Ortiz will likely be summoned to speak at the Commission’s next meeting on January 11th. Victor is scheduled to face Andre Berto in a rematch on Feb. 11th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here is a video of Ortiz’s interview that got him in trouble:

LeBron James turned 27 years old Friday, or at least that’s what we’ve been led to believe. If you think that LeBron — a true physical specimen and absolute manchild — is older than 27, you’re not alone. His teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh both feel the same way.

The players wished LeBron a happy birthday on FOX Sports North, and each man made a joke of LeBron’s age. Here’s the video:

Many people have wondered when LeBron will finally shave his head to get rid of his frequently mocked hairline, but we’re wondering when someone will offer him enough money to get a transplant.

Thanks to Eye on Basketball for sharing the video.

Clippers PA announcer David Courtney was so excited about the team’s new lineup, he forgot to make an adjustment Friday while doing introductions. Chauncey Billups, who played the first two games at shooting guard, missed the game because of a groin injury. Mo Williams replaced him in the starting lineup. One problem: Courtney introduced Mo as Chauncey.

Here’s the video:

Mo played 32 minutes and scored 13 points in a 114-101 loss to the Bulls. After that performance, you can bet LA wishes Chauncey had been in the lineup.

Courtney shouldn’t worry; the blunder by this PA announcer a few weeks ago was much worse.

Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone refused to touch gloves prior to their UFC 141 fight in Las Vegas, and the hate between the two continued well after the bout began. Prior to the start of the third round, Diaz flipped Cerrone the double bird.

We told you it was on when Diaz knocked Cerrone’s cowboy hat off at their press conference. Their fight did not disappoint — it went the distance and Diaz won by unanimous decision.
