Fire alarm goes off again at the Patriots’ hotel

Fire-Alarm

On Tuesday, a fire alarm went off at the New England Patriots’ hotel in Arizona at about 1:30 a.m. We joked at the time that the false alarm could have been the 12th man getting an early jump on harassing the Pats, but suddenly that idea doesn’t seem so far-fetched.

According to NFL Network’s Kimberly Jones, the fire alarm went off again early Thursday morning. This time the disturbance struck just before 5:00 a.m. local time.

Coincidence? We may never know. What we do know is that hotel staff referred to the first fire alarm as an “anomaly.” The fact that it has happened twice in three days is certainly enough to raise a few eyebrows.

If the Patriots are unable to handle distractions, they may have already lost the Super Bowl. Between the fire alarms disrupting their sleep and all of the talk about flat footballs, winning in Arizona is going to take a lot of mental toughness from Bill Belichick’s squad.
