Julian Edelman suffers knee injury while cutting in Patriots’ preseason game
Julian Edelman is one of the most dangerous and frequently utilized weapons in the NFL. He’s the target of choice for the league’s best quarterback; last year he had 98 receptions for 1,106 yards — and, of course, one miraculous Super Bowl catch.
Losing Edelman would be a big hit to the Patriots. He suffered a non-contact knee injury during New England’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions Friday night.
Non-contact knee injuries are bad news. Hoping Edelman's OK, but this doesn't look good. pic.twitter.com/w5qUXzxW5m

As he entered Detroit’s red zone, Edelman attempted to make a cut to avoid Lions safety Tavon Wilson Sr.

Tom Brady was responsive to Edelman’s ailment.
Brady just jumped over the bench and went into the tent to check on Edelman.

Though it’s not clear yet how serious the injury is, you hate to see something like this happen at this time of year.
The last thing you want to see in the preseason is an injury to someone as important as Edelman. Especially a non-contact injury
