Mark Brunell gets emotional, does not believe Tom Brady (Video)
Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Mark Brunell did not believe what Tom Brady had to say about Deflategate on Thursday. In fact, Brunell was so unconvinced that he appeared on the verge of tears while discussing the remarks shortly after Brady’s press conference ended.
“I just didn’t believe what Tom Brady had to say,” Brunell said.
Even NFL Live host Trey Wingo noted that Brunell seemed “pretty emotional” about the entire ordeal.
We agree with Brunell that Brady was not very convincing. Brunell’s colleague, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis, also took Brady to task. Bettis seemed to take issue with the fact that Brady said he thinks having the ball inflated to 12.5 PSI is “perfect” but later noted that he would not be able to tell the difference if a ball was under-inflated by 2.0 PSI.
While there have been a number of current and former players who have fluffed off Deflategate, very few people seem to believe that the balls lost air pressure without Brady — or anyone else within the organization — knowing how.
