Patriots’ Martellus Bennett was inspired by Luke Cage

Martellus Bennett caught three touchdown passes during the Patriots’ 33-13 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and he did it all with an ankle injury. The Pats tight end suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter but played through it. He was rewarded with six catches for 67 yards and three touchdowns on eight targets.

After the game, Bennett was asked about his ankle injury, and the often quotable tight end cited Marvel superhero Luke Cage as his inspiration for fighting through the pain.
