Tavon Austin carted off field with cramps from dehydration
Tavon Austin is adjusting to his new home in Southern California, and that includes adapting to the hot weather. The heat apparently was enough to cause him to cramp due to dehydration on Sunday.
The Los Angeles Rams opened in training camp this weekend and on Sunday held their second day of practice in Irvine. Austin, one of the team’s best offensive playmakers, was carted off the field with what originally was said to be a leg/ankle injury.
Looked like Tavon Austin hurt his left leg/ankle. Was able to stand, but couldn't put too much weight on it. Rode cart off field.

According to the OC Register’s Jack Wang, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher later explained that Austin was suffering from cramps due to dehydration.
Jeff Fisher said Tavon Austin, who was carted off the field, just suffered cramps due to dehydration. Not expected to miss any practices.

Austin is a versatile player who rushed for 434 yards last season and posted 473 receiving yards with nine touchdowns. He’ll be one of the team’s top players, so it’s no doubt a relief for the Rams to learn his health issues were not severe.
