Teddy Bridgewater to reportedly be taken off PUP, practice Wednesday
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was reportedly cleared by a doctor on Monday, and it appears the team expects to have him back on the practice field this week.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Vikings are planning to remove Bridgewater from the PUP list and have him practice on Wednesday.

Now that Bridgewater has been cleared, the team has three weeks to decide whether or not to place him on injured reserve. Since Bridewater’s contract would toll if he is not on the active roster in Week 7, the Vikings could be dealing with a grievance if they chose to place him on IR even after a doctor cleared him.
More importantly, the Vikings may need Bridgewater going forward. Although he has not played in over a year, the latest reports we have heard about Sam Bradford’s knee injury do not sound encouraging. If all goes well for Bridgewater in his return to practice, he could get his starting job back.
