Golfer Billy Hurley III asks for help finding missing father (Video)
PGA Tour golfer Billy Hurley III made an emotional plea for help Tuesday in finding his father, who has been missing for the past nine days.
Hurley is in Virginia to play in the Quicken Loans National tournament and took an opportunity while meeting with the media to open up about his father. Hurley says his dad drove off nine days ago in his truck and took cash and clothes with him. They haven’t heard from him since.
Hurley says they do not know why his father, Willard, left. Willard is a police officer in the area and also works for a local church.
Hurley says a police report has been filed. He intends to play in the tournament this week.
According to PGATour.com, Hurley was last seen driving a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck, dark green, license plate YWH-5898, with a cab cover on the back.
