Lindsey Vonn has been been dating Tiger Woods for about two years now, and she has attended more than a few of his golf tournaments during that span. While the Olympic skier is happy to support her boyfriend, she doesn’t seem to enjoy the sport.
During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Myers” on Monday, Vonn was asked if she likes watching golf and if she watched it before meeting Tiger. Her reaction said it all.
“I love golf,” she said with a wry smile.
Myers then noted that golf seems like something very different from what an adrenaline junkie like Vonn would enjoy.
“I just … I … I love golf,” Vonn said.
Relationships, right? Vonn may not enjoy watching golf, but she loves spending time with Tiger’s children, 7-year-old daughter Sam and 6-year-old son Charlie. Vonn was with Sam and Charlie when they caddied for their dad during the Masters par-3 contest earlier this month.
“They’re great. They’re amazing kids, and he’s an amazing father,” she told People Magazine on Sunday. “You know, I feel privileged to be along for the ride, and I help as much as I can. They’re great kids — I love ’em.”
As many of you know, relationships are all about compromise. Woods may or may not have had his front tooth knocked out during one of Vonn’s races back in January and later made a joke about being one of the only “brown dudes” there, so downhill skiing might not be his cup of tea. We’re glad to see they’re making it work.
