Rory McIlroy sinks 55 straight putts from 10 feet (Video)

Rory-McIlroy-puttsAnyone who has ever played a round of golf will tell you that putting well on the practice green doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in for a big day. I hit plenty of putts when warming up that I know I’m going to miss after I tee off. That said, I’m pretty confident I could never sink 55 straight putts from 10 feet like Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy, who finished tied for second at the TOUR Championship on Sunday despite entering a day with the share of the lead, appeared to be locked in before his tee time. He drained 55 putts in a row at one point from about 10 feet. As expected, he was a little worse under pressure.

McIlroy three-putted from 20 feet on the 10th hole and allowed FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel to start pulling away. Had he hit that 56th straight putt on the practice green, things may have gone a bit differently.
