Steven Stamkos Video – Takes Puck to the Face and Returns

In the second period of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Bruins and Lightning, Tampa Bay star Steven Stamkos took a slapshot straight to the face. Luckily the puck deflected off his half-visor so it didn’t do more damage, but it was still pretty horrific. Or as Puck Daddy put it, he just gave us a PSA in support of mandatory visors. Here’s a video of Steven Stamkos taking a puck to his beak:

What’s amazing is that Stamkos hardly missed any time before returning to the game. He came back a few minutes later with his nose bandaged and a full-cage mask. Here’s a picture of how he looked after his return:
