Holly Holm delivered what has to be a contender for knockout kick of the year in women’s MMA. Facing Allanna Jones at Legacy Fighting Championship 21 in Houston on Friday, Holm delivered a kick to the head that sent Jones to the canvas midway through the second round of their fight. Holm jumped on Jones and got in two punches before the referee had a chance to stop the fight.
Holm is a former world champion boxer in multiple weight classes, boasting wins over Christy Martin and Mia St. John in consecutive fights in 2005. She also has been a kickboxer and is now 4-0 in her professional MMA career. Jones fought and lost to Fallon Fox in May.
