Pokemon has reached the world of mixed martial arts. During Bellator 158 on Saturday, a fighter celebrated his knockout with a Pokemon themed celebration.
Among the fights on the main card was a bout between Michael Page and Evangelista Santos. During the second round, Page delivered a devastating jump knee that dropped Santos to the canvas and gave Page the victory. Afterward, the 29-year-old went to the side of the octagon to retrieve a hat and proceeded to roll a pokeball at his opponent to try to “catch” him.
We’ve seen Pokemon Go make an appearance at an NBA summer league game. Johnny Manziel played the popular smartphone game while clubbing in Hollywood. Who knows where it will end up next in the sports world, but this surely won’t be the last we see of it.
