Neymar gets revenge against Colombia with insane free kick goal (Video)

Brazilian soccer superstar Neymar was at it again on Saturday.

In the quarterfinal match of the Olympic men’s soccer tournament against Colombia, the flashy forward scored an unreal free kick curve goal in the 12th minute to give Brazil the 1-0 lead.

Now that’s a magnus effect if I ever saw one.

Brazil never looked back from there and held on for a 2-0 victory after a goal by fellow forward Luan in the 83rd minute.

For Neymar, this match came with a bit of extra motivation. Not only is he the captain of the host country’s men’s soccer team (and one who is heavily favored to take home the gold medal at that). But there was also the revenge factor in play from when Neymar was knocked out of the 2014 World Cup after suffering a fractured vertebrae against Colombia on a dirty play by defender Juan Zúñiga. With Colombia now eliminated from medal contention with the loss on Saturday, it’s safe to say Neymar got it.

Meanwhile, Brazil is now scheduled to face Honduras in the semifinal, and hopefully soccer’s favorite party boy can keep his swagger up for the remainder of the Rio Games.
