Bill Plaschke tells Jackie MacMullan she looks ‘really hot’ (Video)

LA Times columnist Bill Plaschke got all creepy on everyone when he told “Around the Horn” co-panelist Jackie MacMullan that she looked “really hot” during a filming break on the show Monday. But Plaschke didn’t stop there. Oh no. He even told Jackie that she was “smoking” hot.

“Jackie, can you hear me?” Plaschke asked during a break on the show. “I gotta say something … don’t hold it against me … but you look really hot today. You do,” he told her.

“You really look good today,” he continued. “Not that you don’t always look good, but you are smoking today!”

After host Tony Reali ribbed Plaschke for hitting on MacMullan, the columnist defended himself.

“Why can’t a man give a compliment to a woman?”

To the best of our knowledge, MacMullan is married with children, so if she has a husband, he probably is booking a flight out to LA to tell Plaschke to keep his glasses and goatee to himself. Good thing for him she took it well.

This has also confirmed that the best parts of the show occur during breaks.

Bill Plaschke recently called Kobe Bryant an a-hole, says J.A. Adande (Video)

We all know how Kobe Bryant can be with the media. The cocky, arrogant attitude that makes Kobe such a great player on the court oftentimes does not translate well to his interviews and press conferences. More often than not, he gets away with it because he’s Kobe Bryant. Apparently Bill Plaschke recently decided he was going to let Kobe know exactly how he felt about some of his responses to questions, so he called him an a-hole.

As you can see from the video above that shows a behind the scenes look on ESPN’s “Around the Horn”, J.A. Adande says Kobe was recently talking with the media about how well of a job Danilo Gallinari has done defending him in the Lakers-Nuggets series. According to Adande, Kobe doesn’t like being asked about guys defending him. He gave a snark response, and Adande says Plaschke said “You’re such an a**hole” to Kobe as he was walking out of the room.

Lamar Odom Upset with Bill Plaschke Column Questioning Effect of Reality Show

It’s been an up-and-down week for Lakers forward Lamar Odom who was both rewarded and questioned by the media. Odom won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award Tuesday and was able to celebrate by reading a column questioning him. Bill Plaschke of the LA Times wrote about Lamar’s reality TV show Khloe & Lamar, said it portrayed Odom as soft, and wondered if it was making Lamar play poorly. Keep in mind this is the same show Lamar wanted to quit after three days because it was too much for him.

Some of the criticism from Plaschke included calling the show a “cheesy series” and labeling Khloe Kardashian a “D-League celebrity.” Then Plaschke talked about Lamar getting pushed around on the show by the Kardashian women. He wrote “I’m wondering how Odom can watch or hear about himself portrayed in this manner, then go out and easily become the aggressor on the basketball court.” He says the show makes Odom look soft and he argues that its release should have been delayed until after the postseason. It was a powerful column with a lot of strong criticisms and it was poorly received by Odom.
