Community college basketball team has Gatorade shower celebration fail (Video)

Richard ThurinThe women’s basketball team for North Platte Community College (Neb.) beat Dakota College at Bottineau (N.D.) 64-40 on Sunday to win their district, but their celebration didn’t go so smoothly.

As you can see in the video above, the team tried to give their coach, Richard Thurin, a Gatorade shower, but they missed and spilled the liquid, which caused him to slip and land on his face.

The team’s effort was poor across the board. Let’s examine all the areas they went wrong:

    - They charged right up to their coach instead of sneaking up from behind
    - They didn’t lift the cooler high enough to dowse him
    - They left all the liquid on the floor, causing two people to slip

The only good news is that the team advances to the national tournament next week. And at least they can take comfort in knowing that they have something in common with the Alabama football team.

50 Cent goes in to kiss Erin Andrews, gets denied (Video)

50 Cent is no Squints Palledorous. The rapper got pulled in for an impromptu interview with FOX’s Erin Andrews before the Daytona 500 Sunday, and he got hilariously rejected on a kiss attempt after going with the “get a kiss or die trying” strategy.

Andrews was looking to interview Danica Patrick when she spotted 50 and extended her arm to bring him in for the interview. The rapper found the open arm as a welcome invitation to go in for a monster kiss. He came in all puckered up and ready for a big smooch on the lips, but Andrews turned her cheek, leaving 50 hilariously empty-handed. He ended up planting one on Andrews’ cheek after getting “friends-zoned” as BuzzFeed so aptly called it.

Andrews clearly was uncomfortable after being caught off guard. She wasn’t sure which way to go, but she knew a lips kiss wasn’t in the cards. That didn’t seem to bother 50, who continued to follow Andrews even after the kiss rejection. He tried to put his hands on her waist, and then he was caught scoping her backside as she walked in front of him:

Appalachian State’s Brian Okam may have had the worst free throw attempt ever (Video)

Appalachian State center Brian Okam should be proud of himself for grabbing the attention of the Internet with his historically bad free throw attempt on Saturday. The 7-foot tall junior center from Nigeria looked like he had the right idea to use some backspin on his shot, but he just didn’t give the ball quite enough of a push. I mean that ball had a beautiful arc, some nice spin, and had all the makings of a ball shot with a shooter’s touch. Unfortunately it didn’t even go half way to the basket. Well done, Brian, it’s not easy to miss a shot that badly.

Florida State fan screwed up her face paint (Picture)

One Florida State fan had the best intentions in mind when she painted her face to support the team for its rivalry game against Florida on Saturday, but she learned the hard way that it’s not a good idea to apply writing in the mirror. Guess she never saw that scene with Karen in “Mean Girls.”

As if having your blunder gain notice nationally wasn’t bad enough, Florida State lost the game 37-26.

This young lady should remember to just keep it simple while supporting Florida State by going with the cowgirl look:

Michael Phelps tries crowd surfing in Las Vegas club, fails (Video)

Michael Phelps was at XS nightclub in Las Vegas on Monday night, and he appeared to be the hit of the club. As you can see in the video above, the 18-time gold medalist even attempted to go crowd surfing at one point. Unfortunately, his trip in an inflatable raft with a woman did not go so well — the crowd dropped him straight on his butt. That’s a straight party foul on the clubbers, not Phelps. By the way, it looks like the Baltimore native may have been wearing an Orioles cap. If so, those bonus points would negate the crowd surfing fail.

Vernon Davis misses dunk on goal post after TD

Week 1 of the NFL season was all about the celebration fails. First it was Rob Gronkowski botching his touchdown spike, and then it was Vernon Davis getting hung on the rim … err the goal post after scoring against the Packers.

VD finished with 3 catches for 43 yards and a score in the Niners’ 30-22 win. Winning in Green Bay was huge for San Francisco. Who would have ever thought Alex Smith could outplay Aaron Rodgers head-to-head in a game? I don’t care if San Francisco’s defense is superior to Green Bay’s — I never ever saw that happening. They look like a team ready to reach the NFC Championship Game again.

Rob Gronkowski whiffs on the spike after scoring touchdown

There he is, Rob Gronkowski looking all jacked after scoring a touchdown. Flexing his triceps. Thinking he’s all badass. And then he goes for his signature spike … only he loses his grip on the ball and it goes squirting out behind him.

Not one of Gronk’s best moments. At least he did catch the touchdown pass, which is all that really matters.
