Athletes spend so much time training and physically pushing their bodies that they need some recovery time when they’re through for the day. The recovery time is also proving to be social media time for many of the athletes at the Olympics.
As the New York Times noted (via Fourth-Place Medal), several Olympians have been sharing pictures of themselves and their teammates recovering in ice baths from their grueling workouts in what seems to be a developing social media trend like “Tebowing.” Above is a photo of US gymnast Aly Raisman (left) and teammate McKayla Maroney (right) posing for the camera while soaking their feet and ankles.
