Stephanie Rice adds to her Olympic rings tattoo (Picture)

Stephanie Rice better not swim too much longer otherwise she might run out of tattoo room under her arm.

The Australian swimmer added to her Olympic rings tattoo and showed the updated ink off on her Twitter and Instagram account Thursday. Rice got her tattoo after participating in the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing where she became a star after winning three gold medals.

At just 24 years old, she still has plenty of time to participate in more Olympics, though a shoulder injury has derailed her career recently.

When star swimmers like her get the Olympic rings tattoo, it’s no wonder someone like Missy Franklin wanted in on the act.

Stephanie Rice: Kobe Bryant and I are just friends

Kobe Bryant and Stephanie Rice were called out by a few different Australian athletes for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship, leading to Rice addressing the matter. The Australian swimmer says she and Kobe are just friends.

“FYI yes Kobe and I are friends, but no we are not together and never have been,” she wrote in a tweet. “Can’t guys and girls be just friends..? He’s an amazing athlete and I’ve enjoyed getting to know him and many other great athletes in my Olympic journey.”

Rice just gave the story an extra day in the news cycle by responding. Considering that she doesn’t mind being spotted with him in public, or showing off racy bikini pics on Twitter, it’s safe to say she likes the attention. And based on these pictures, it seems like Kobe keeps finding himself in mix-ups with women.

I don’t dispute that they’re just friends and not together, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t hooked up. Only a fool would believe that they haven’t, or that they haven’t gone overboard with their flirting.

Kobe Bryant, Stephanie Rice called out for alleged inappropriate relationship

Liz Cambage became the first woman to dunk at the Olympics, and then she became the first athlete to go on record calling out Kobe Bryant and Stephanie Rice for having an inappropriate relationship.

Things between Bryant and Rice started cooking when the NBA MVP visited the Australian swim team before the Games began since the teams were staying at the same hotel in Manchester. Rice and Bryant took some pictures, including the one seen above which the swimmer shared on Twitter and Instagram, along with the message “First piccy with a “star” going to be hard to beat… Kobe.” Rice was also pretty excited about an autographed pair of sneakers Kobe gave her, and he received some signed swim caps as part of the trade.

Fast forward to the second week of the Olympics and the closeness between the two continued. Bryant was spotted at the velodrome on Tuesday watching some cycling along with Rice:

Stephanie Rice used a stripper pole to train

Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice sparked some pre-Olympics buzz by tweeting the picture seen above of her modeling a bikini designed by a friend. Now we’re learning what training methods — aside from swimming — Rice utilized to keep her figure fit.

During a radio interview with “The Hot Breakfast” on Triple M radio in Melbourne, Rice confirmed a rumor that she had a stripper pole in her apartment.

“I did do some classes and I made one of my family members buy me the pole because I was, like, well this can be cross-training exercise,” Rice told the radio station.

“But I don’t have it any more,” she clarified.

The AAP speculated that the stripper pole may have caused the shoulder injuries that have bothered Rice, but they may have been joking. Either way, it seems like Rice is every bit as wild as the bikini photo above suggests.

The bright side is maybe she’ll still have a chance of competing at the 2016 Games in Brazil even if she can’t swim. And here I was thinking this guy had an odd training routine. Guess I was wrong.

Below is audio of Rice talking about the pole:
