Sean O'Haire

Former wrestler Sean O’Haire died on Tuesday after committing suicide by hanging himself.

Police responded to a phone call about a suicide and found the man’s father in the kitchen. O’Haire was found in the bedroom of his Spartanburg, S.C., home laying lifeless beside the bed with a rope tied around his neck and connected to a bed post.

O’Haire, real name Sean Haire, wrestled in the WWE and WCW from 2000-2006 and was a three-time WCW World Tag Team champion. He was known for wearing a trench coat, having flame tattoos and the devil’s advocate character he played.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder went into MMA and kickboxing after wrestling.

O’Haire was charged with battery twice from 2009-2011 and had multiple run-ins with the law after retiring from wrestling.

An obituary about O’Haire says he was working as a personal fitness trainer prior to his death.
