Aaron Judge appears to be trying to pull a Bryce Harper.
The injured New York Yankees slugger Judge recently underwent an emerging medical treatment called PPP (platelet-poor plasma) injections. Bob Klapisch of NJ.com reports that Yankees team physician Dr. Chris Ahmad gave Judge a PPP shot last week and that Judge is hoping that the therapy can help him return to the field faster.
PPP treatment is related to PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment but, as the name would suggest, has no platelets. The therapy has picked up steam in the last couple of years as an orthopedist-discovered way of promoting healing of damaged muscles, but it is still reportedly considered experimental by insurance companies due to its newness.

Judge, the 34-year-old former AL MVP, missed three months of action during the regular season due to a rib fracture. He then returned to the lineup in early September but lasted just seven games before returning to the injured list due to a calf strain.
In recent days, Judge has openly discussed the fact that he is attempting to return early at some point during the Yankees’ postseason run. While the team has seemed less confident and notably left Judge off the roster for their now-completed AL Wild Card Series, Judge is now going unorthodox in his devoted efforts to make it back in time.
