Adrian Gonzalez provides perspective during tough stretch for Dodgers
After starting the season 12-7, the Dodgers lost their sixth consecutive game on Saturday to fall to one game below .500 at 12-13. Afterward, Adrian Gonzalez provided some much needed perspective during a tough stretch.
During the losing streak, Los Angeles has scored more than two runs just twice with three being the high on two occasions. It’s not time to hit the panic button yet, though. As Gonzalez pointed out by taking a red marker to a white board in the locker room, there’s a silver lining.

Despite losses pilling up, the Dodgers will be tied for first place in the National League West with the Giants when games begin on Sunday. Things could certainly be much worse.
Los Angeles has more than its fair share of talent. A lineup that includes Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson, and Corey Seager won’t continue to struggle pushing runs across the plate.
Clayton Kershaw takes the mound on Sunday for the series finale against the Padres. That seems like as good a day as any to put a losing streak in the rear view mirror.
