Corey Kluber and Justin Verlander opened up the ALDS between the Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros with a pitcher’s duel, but Alex Bregman broke the scoreless game with a major home run.
The Astros third baseman crushed a home run to left field off Kluber in the bottom of the fourth, ending a no-hit bid:

Prior to the home run by Bregman, Kluber had allowed two baserunners in three innings. He and Verlander had not allowed a hit until the bottom of the fourth.
Bregman, meanwhile, continues his stellar season. The 24-year-old smacked 51 doubles and 31 homers in the regular season, driving in 103 runs. He is helping the Astros on their quest towards repeating as World Series champs.
