Alex Bregman got a little careless during a postgame interview while celebrating his Houston Astros’ division title.
The Astros may have lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Wednesday, but they still clinched the AL West for the second year in a row. The team’s players quickly brushed aside the loss and began celebrating their division title upon entering the clubhouse. Bottles were popping, alcohol was flowing, and cigars were being smoked.
There were also TV cameras around, which led to some awkward footage. Bregman was one of the players to be interviewed by AT&T Sportsnet Southwest, and he wasn’t as censored as usual.
“We’re starting to get used to this whole thing,” Bregman said of celebrating. “We do it every other day. We’ve been drinking a lot as a team, because we drink to our accomplishments.”
Bregman then let out an S-bomb. He also took a swig from a can of Budweiser in between questions.
The talented third baseman said that he thinks the defending World Series champions are even better than last year.
“I think we’ve improved. But I think we’ll see in October,” said Bregman.
Bregman’s careless nature in the interview, along with some of his meandering answers, led fans to figure he was buzzed.

Astros fans are only hoping they’ll be able to see many more of these interviews from Bregman over the next 5-6 weeks.
