Angels P Andrew Heaney to miss at least next start with elbow inflammation
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: an Angels pitcher is dealing with an elbow issue.
Los Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney will miss at least his next spring training due to elbow inflammation, the team announced.
Update on LHP Andrew Heaney:
Andrew Heaney will miss his next scheduled start due to left elbow inflammation. He underwent an MRI which ruled out ligament damage. He will be cleared to throw once the inflammation subsides.

Heaney could miss more starts if the elbow inflammation does not subside. The 26-year-old southpaw was hit hard in his last spring training outing, which led to the examinations.
Heaney, who was acquired by the Angels from the Dodgers in the Howie Kendrick trade, missed nearly all of the 2016 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He has pitched just 27.2 innings the past two seasons.
