Report: Angels among finalists for Jason Heyward
The Los Angeles Angels have reportedly entered the Jason Heyward sweepstakes.
As of Thursday morning, it was believed that the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs were battling it out for Heyward, who is expected to sign in the near future and could get a deal worth around $200 million. Jon Morosi of FOX Sports is reporting that the Angels are also working to sign the 26-year-old outfielder.

Heyward is a tremendous outfielder who hit a career-high .293 with the Cardinals last season. He is believed to be seeking an eight-year deal at roughly $20 million per season, but that number could go even higher if three teams are truly in a bidding war for his services.
