Angels prospect Jo Adell shows off crazy athleticism in video

Jo Adell

If you don’t know about Jo Adell, now’s the time to familiarize yourself.

Adell was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels out of high school in Louisville. He’s had three seasons in the minors and already proven himself as the franchise’s top prospect.

Showing off this kind of athleticism doesn’t hurt, either.

Adell shared a video on Twitter Thursday that shows him box-jumping 66 inches.

66 inches is 5-foot-6 in height, meaning Adell basically just hurdled Jose Altuve.

Adell plays the outfield and has hit .298/.361/.518 for an .879 in 224 career minor league games. He also has 30 stolen bases.

The 20-year-old has high strikeout rates in the minors (254 in 224 games), which is a concern, but otherwise he shows tremendous promise — and hops.
