Angels push back next scheduled Shohei Ohtani start

Baseball fans will have to wait a little longer to see Shohei Ohtani’s next pitching performance.
Ohtani suffered a sprained ankle while hitting on Friday night, and as a precaution, the Angels will push Ohtani’s scheduled start back a day or two from Tuesday.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia tells reporters that Shohei Ohtani won't start next Tuesday but could pitch Wednesday or Thursday at home vs. Baltimore. https://t.co/WVJUiwF2nV

Ohtani has now dealt with multiple minor physical issues to start the season, but this one sounds quite minor. It’s frustrating, and a potential consequence of Ohtani being so unique and performing as both a hitter and a pitcher, but the good news is the fact that Scioscia is willing to put a timetable on things indicates that the Japanese star is probably progressing nicely.
