Astros’ Marwin Gonzalez bat flips after big double in Game 2

Minute Maid Park Houston

Marwin Gonzalez delivered a huge hit for the Houston Astros against the Cleveland Indians in Game 2 of the ALDS on Saturday, and he celebrated with a big bat flip.

Gonzalez took a pitch from Indians reliever Andrew Miller out to right field for a double.

Gonzalez did a big bat flip as he was coming out of the box but was still able to make it to second. And thanks to a misplay by right fielder Melky Cabrera, two Astros were able to score on the play — even Alex Bregman all the way from first — to give Houston a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth.

Astros reporter Chandler Rome says that Gonzalez was so pumped that he also threw his helmet in excitement.

Gonzalez was coming up big in the game and had hits in all three of his at-bats.
