BJ Upton claps back at ‘frat boy’ trolls on Twitter
It has been more than three years since BJ Upton played his last MLB game, but the former outfielder is still encountering trolls on social media.
Upton took to Twitter on Tuesday to share his thoughts on the Houston Astros’ cheating scandal. He made it clear that he does not approve of stealing signs using electronics, and one of his followers suggested Upton should have given it a shot when he was struggling at the plate later in his career. Upton replied by telling the troll to meet him for lunch to discuss it.
This whole scandal is just now starting to set in for me,as a player that’s the softest, weakest, shit out

I’ll be in atl next week, we can have lunch and talk about it, you can bring your frat boys if you want

For context, Upton batted .196 over two seasons with the Atlanta Braves.
Upton certainly isn’t the first player to rip the Astros over their cheating, but he probably should have seen that response coming.
