After beginning his career in the National League with the Brewers and Nationals, Estrada began having his most success after Toronto acquired him prior to 2015. He went 13-8 with a 3.13 ERA in his first season in Toronto, and then made the All-Star team last year. Though he hasn’t pitched to his top form this season — he has a 4.84 ERA in 2017 — Estrada has gone 5-2 with a 4.40 ERA since the All-Star break.
The 34-year-old pitcher is making $14 million this season and was set to become a free agent after the year.
