Former Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox is recovering after suffering a stroke on Tuesday.

According to David O’Brien of The Athletic, Cox had surgery after his stroke, but has seen visitors on Wednesday. That includes Atlanta general manager Alex Anthopoulos.

Bobby Cox remains hospitalized after suffering a stroke Tuesday & having surgery. He’s been seeing visitors. GM Alex Anthopoulos said on MLB Network that he saw Bobby today & he was “in as good a spirits as can be.” He’s as tough as they come. So many folks pulling for you, Bobby

The Hall of Famer sits fourth on the all-time managerial wins list with 2,504. Many of them came with the Atlanta Braves, where Cox won five NL pennants and his only World Series.
