The Atlanta Braves have a rookie pitcher named John Gant who made his MLB debut on Wednesday, and the dude certifiably has the weirdest pitching delivery of all time. No exaggeration. I saw this on Twitter Wednesday and thought it was so odd that I figured people had manipulated the video. I was wrong. This is just how weird it is.

If Brickma from “Rookie of the Year” were a pro pitcher, I have to imagine this is exactly what he would look like. Matter of fact, I’ll bet Gant unwinds with “hot ice” after games. This is the Charles Barkley golf swing of pitching deliveries. Yet this 23-year-old has thrown a scoreless inning in the bigs and had a career 3.24 ERA in the minors.
