Watch: Brewers reliever throws up twice while pitching
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Adrian Houser had a very rough afternoon on the mound Sunday, and not in the sense that a pitcher usually would.
Houser, who was just recalled to the majors Sunday morning, was brought into the game against the Philadelphia Phillies in the 8th inning. After throwing his warmup pitches, Houser called a trainer out and immediately vomited behind the mound.
Unimpressed, the grounds crew simply watered down the grass, and Houser remained in the game.

They are watering the grass where he vomited. I have never seen this.

Whatever was afflicting Houser wasn’t finished with him. After facing two batters, Houser vomited again, this time on the mound itself.
Oh man. This is tough to watch. Houser pitched to two batters and he is sick again. Now there's vomit on the mound. Another clean up.

Video of the first bout of illness is here, though beware if you’re squeamish.
Wild moment in the Phillies-Brewers Game, Adrian Houser puked during the middle of an inning. Stayed in. For those wondering, it did not count as a mound visit. pic.twitter.com/zi8izldXN9

Remarkably, Houser managed to finish the inning, giving up two hits and a run.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen someone vomit on the mound, but this came after the outing was concluded. Seeing a pitcher get sick twice and pitch through it is certainly rather unprecedented.
