Brian McCann is returning to the franchise where he played the first nine seasons of his career.
McCann has reportedly agreed to terms with the Atlanta Braves, the franchise who drafted and developed him, on a free agent deal, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

Bowman further reports that McCann took less money to return to Atlanta.
McCann made it clear he wanted to be with the Braves. He passed up some more lucrative offers to once again play in his hometown.

In addition to coming up with the Braves organization, McCann is a Georgia native. It wouldn’t be shocking if this turns out to be the 34-year-old’s last stop. He will essentially act as the replacement for Kurt Suzuki, who departed to join the Washington Nationals a week ago.
