The Atlanta Braves new manager might just be their old manager.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, Brian Snitker, who served as the team’s interim manager for much of 2016, is the frontrunner to be named the team’s permanent skipper.
Source confirms: Snitker front-runner for #Braves’ job. Process moving into final stages. @Jcrasnick, @DOBrienAJC, @mlbbowman on this.

The situation doesn’t come as a huge shock. Snitker replaced Fredi Gonzalez under awkward circumstances on May 17 with the team sitting at 9-28. He managed to lead them to a 59-65 record the rest of the way, including an 18-win September. He knows the players well and the team, while still not good, did improve under his watch.
