Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy made sure to get his money’s worth on Saturday after being ejected from a game against the Minnesota Twins.
Bochy was angry after Twins infielder Edouard Julien seemingly struck out on a foul tip, only for the umpires to change the call and say Rangers catcher Jonah Heim did not catch the foul tip before it hit the dirt. Bochy was livid and was ejected by crew chief Laz Diaz after he came out to argue.
After the ejection, Bochy was determined to get his money’s worth. He even offered Diaz his glasses to try to help the umpire see a little better.

It’s no wonder Bochy was upset. Heim certainly appeared to catch the tip, which would have meant a strikeout. Instead, Julien wound up drawing a walk, which helped lead to a Minnesota run. The Twins were able to come back with three more in the 8th to win 5-3.
Bochy usually keeps his cool, but not so here. He can take comfort in the fact that he is hardly the only manager to have beef with Diaz.
